reserving an estate sale spot: what your phone sees

Published September 1, 2026 by EstateEntry

Here's the entire shopper journey from front to back, so there are no surprises.

Step 1: Find the sale

You'll usually spot a sale on EstateSales.net, social media, or a yard sign's QR code. The sign's code typically opens the sale's registration page — no app install needed.

Step 2: Register for the sale page

Every sale gets a unique web page: photos, description, schedule, address, and a Claim your spot button. You'll need a free account (email+password or Google sign-in; phone optional).

Step 3: Claim and get your line number

Tapping claim gives you a numbered position — older registrants get lower numbers. You'll be told your allotted entry estimate, based on that company's typical pace.

Step 4: Day-of

  • Arrive at the property near the opening time.
  • Scan the check-in QR posted at the front door. This confirms your arrival.
  • Watch the live wait status on your phone. Staff sees and controls the same list from their side, and will advance people as space frees up.

Step 5: Entry

When your number is next in queue, they check you in and you walk in. That's it — no arguing over rank, no laminated cards, just a QR.

Cancellation is free

If you can't make it, cancel on the sale page. Someone else's position moves up automatically. No penalty, no drama, and everyone else thanks you for it.
